On Tuesday I will reach the ripe ole' age of 36. IN JUST FOUR days. OH MY GOSH! This really is starting to get on up there in my book. The beginnings of the 30's weren't so hard for me. 35 still felt ok. BUT 36...holy moly seems like a whole new thing. The 40's are just around the corner. I used to say this: Have my babies in my 20's, raise them in my 30's and send them off in my 40's, party and plastic surgery in my 50's! But now I am thinking maybe I should start the party and plastic surgery now! YEAH sounds good to me!
Ha!!!
BTW...school went great. All that anxiety. The kids did great and while I sat in class, although overwhelmed, It felt good to be back. It's good to feel like I have something for just me! It feels great to stretch my brain and learn and accomplish!

Gretchen you are amazing!! And the prime example of what the prophet and apostles are telling us lately. To educate and grow for yourself. Something I read in a parenting book a while back was that you have to do things for yourself to share your children that you care about yourself. I think that is overlooked. How will our children aspire to be better if we make our own lives JUST about them. Thanks for being such a good example to me.
wow...thanks MK. never thought of it that way. I have spent my time feeling guilty all the time. Yeah your right!
You are doing a great thing. I was just talking with a good friend and she is going back to school to be a respiratory therapist! I was like .... I could soo do that. That would be a kewl thing to do. Especially since we spent so much time with them.
Growing and stretching your brain is always a good thing. I have started reading tons lately. Education is education whether it is formal or informal. Glad you are going after your dreams! I love Sis. Hinckley and she has such great sound lessons to be gleaned from.
I think the hard thing is we are raising those babies in our 30s and sending them off in our 40s.... that is only 3-1/2 years away! I completely understand your "I can't believe it!!" feelings!
