Here I am age 34...I look the same as I did when I was 24 except...when I was 24 I was pregnant with Leah Beth...Yes what I mean is my hair...my clothes...my shoes...my dead mommy look. I don't think I really realized it until this weekend. We went to my parents and watched some old home videos. I am around 10 pounds or so larger...but my hair and clothes looked exactly the same. I have the dead mommy look. I did go through some blonder days between now and then and maybe even curly, straight, really short, really long, I think even red. But now it looks the same a pony tail knot on the top of my head. I hate spending money on clothes. Thankfully I have Heather for my hair but I just don't keep up with it. Right now I have around 3 pair of jeans that fit and a couple of plain t-shirts. That's about it. I am a sweat shirt kinda girl. I like skirts but I can't really lay in the floor and take pictures without everything hanging out in a skirt. I always go back to the jeans! So I would love some of your CHEAP clothes ideas...to dress me up a little.

I can't wait for the comments on this. We need to go on What Not to Wear. They would help us out or tear us to pieces!!
We need to go shopping again...Target here we come!!
I have felt in the same boat. Lately I've been thinking about mom's who know how to dress for the times and when I'm shopping think, "Would ___ wear this?" Lame, yea, but it works. Cheap? GOODWILL!! I LOVE that store! Find out which day is $1.00 day. I went on Monday and got 2 pants, 1 capri, and 5 tops totalling $8.00 that are name brand and totally cute. I'll be at women's conference as a mom in style! :-) It does take time to find the right colored tag and things that look new, but they are there just sometimes hidden. I loved the Goodwill in M'boro!
Gretchen, let's go shopping!!! I will hook you up, girl.
I have been feeling the same way!!! I just do not fix myself up anymore...just frumpy all the time. I am a root showing, sweat pants wearing frump! YUCK!!!! Lets hit the mall chick!
First of all I have to say to Heather--GAG! Are you kidding me? YOU are the cute, stylin' mom we all wish we looked like! (There, I feel better.) Oh, and you know I love you, Heather, right?!?!
I was just talking to a friend this morning about all those gorgeous Utah moms that are skinny, wear stylish clothes, etc. Frankly, it is quite sickening.
Maybe we should all do a makeover together?!?!?
Yeah let's do a makeover...except Jen...your one of those skinny mormons just not from utah! I could be on what not to wear!
Okay, I am with Jen S on the Goodwill thing - I have on the CUTEST jeans right now from there. But Target is my fall back. I have decided that cute shoes and a cute purse makes my hiney look smaller. I promise you. I am still ten lbs too heavy, but wore cute shoes today and carried a cute purse and my goodwill jeans and got tons of compliments on the shoes and purse, and no one noticed my flab. I mean, I suppose no one typically compliments my flab....Katie, your cellulite is par-TIC-u-lar-ly cute today. Where on EARTH did you get that upper butt AND lower butt?? Precious.
Wow, Katie and I are like twins. I too am only 10 pounds too heavy.
OOOPS, I left off a zero!
That picture is so cute! especially the one that is wearing the brown t-shirt, with leah's arm on her!
Next time I come up, we will go shopping agian. This time though, you will shop to!
