I'm sinking!!!

I'm going under...Fall has hit even though the leaves haven't turned yet. Picture season is on. I say every year-I'm sticking to a schedule...I'm sticking to a schedule. But here I am working a 12 hour day..and 10 hours behind. It's so hard for me to turn it down when it comes. So although I am grateful for that which I have been given (extra work) throw your prayers this way so I won't totally loose it. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with my new stake calling in primary because I haven't been released yet from my ward calling. This coming Tues. I have to talk 20 min or so about having effective primary presidency meetings. The anxiety is on! All the people I am talking to are so effective already... So if you have any great ideas please throw them my way. Nothing seems to be coming to me very clearly but pictures, pictures, and more pictures.

Finally, I have been anxiously awaiting your blog! YIKES, it sounds a bit stressful there sil! What is KTYS! Am, I so behind in the computer ages? Pictures pictures, you are great at them! I am so glad you are busy. UP YOUR PRICES! You are high in demand and people will pay. If you cant change your price list now, change it come January. Then it will make saying no, a bit easier. You have been called and you can do amazing things. You know where to draw your strength from. I dont know how you manage everything and you do everything so well. YOU CAN DOooo IT! (said, in the tone from the movie WaterBoy) YOU Can! Don't stress tomorrow what you can stress today. LOL, is that some lame advice? oh well, it made me chuckle. I hope you do too. Do you feel blue? That helps stress too! Don't forget!!

Okay, admittedly I really don't understand (dummy Cath girl) what on Earth you just said about ward and primary, but on the pic front - I am right down the road, if there is any administrativeish stuff or calling stuff or stuffing envelopes you need me to do - PLEASE call.

I feel your stress and anxiety... I'll send prayers your way. At least there is an end to the craziness... what, Christmas? Maybe your kids should make you a countdown paper chain that you can rip off each day. Then you can tell them when the chain is gone they can ask you a question.

I don't know how to help, so I thought I would share some thoughts that came to me about having an effective Presidency Mtg. First-refer to the handbook and see what it says. I am such a handbook girl...you can't go wrong. Make an agenda for the presidency mtg.. Stick to the agenda. Assign a time limit to each item. Talk about people first...they are the most important. Just some thoughts. I have never conducted a presidency mtg, but these are things that I have liked and thought successful in mtgs. I have attended.

I agree with your sil, up your prices then say no. Make a schedule and keep to it! You can do it. I love you and will be praying for you!!

Hey I was going to make a post on Gretchen's blog but she doesn't allow anonymous entried. Will you pass this message on to her? Thanks! -MK

Hey Gretchen!! I have been reading your blogs. I can't believe how big your children have gotten (I am sure you get tired of hearing that). Anyway I read your post just yesterday and as I was going to bed I had a thought to help you with your meeting. You made the comment that you felt like the people you were talking to already knew how to do things. My advice- pretend like they don't. You never know what kind of rutt someone may be in and a simple reminder of things can help us get back on track. Conference is a good example. We hear talks about the same things over and over. You would think we would get it by now, but apparently not. There is always something new said that gets me inspired to do the things that I know I should do.
So that's my advice- keep it simple and don't worry about what they may already know. They may just need that simple reminder.
Your family is precious!!

I feel the need to second what MK said. I have thought a lot about her comments the past few days and I think she's totally right. If the prophets don't tell us anything new (just repeat the same stuff over and over), then why do we feel the need to? You never know when someone who "knows it all" will be struck differently when they hear something they've heard before.
