Fashion Problems!

Here I am age 34...I look the same as I did when I was 24 except...when I was 24 I was pregnant with Leah Beth...Yes what I mean is my hair...my clothes...my shoes...my dead mommy look. I don't think I really realized it until this weekend. We went to my parents and watched some old home videos. I am around 10 pounds or so larger...but my hair and clothes looked exactly the same. I have the dead mommy look. I did go through some blonder days between now and then and maybe even curly, straight, really short, really long, I think even red. But now it looks the same a pony tail knot on the top of my head. I hate spending money on clothes. Thankfully I have Heather for my hair but I just don't keep up with it. Right now I have around 3 pair of jeans that fit and a couple of plain t-shirts. That's about it. I am a sweat shirt kinda girl. I like skirts but I can't really lay in the floor and take pictures without everything hanging out in a skirt. I always go back to the jeans! So I would love some of your CHEAP clothes ideas...to dress me up a little.

Caroline's question

Oh boy I got the question again-this is the 4th time.. You would think I would be a pro by now!

If Rhonda's baby's are cut out of her stomach.you know by z-section....then how did your babies get out?

My answer....Mommy's have a special place for the baby to come out.. I go on and finish telling her where!!!.

Caroline...Oh...well I need to know all about this. Do you have a video I could watch?

Doggy Treats Recipes!

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

2 spoonfuls of peanut butter

a dash of water

a dash of salt

1 1/2 cup flour

Heat oven 350 F

Mix egg, pb, water and the milk in a large bowl. Next add flour and salt. Stir well.

Bake 20 min. Cut with knife into squares or cut with cookie cutters. When cooled completely store in zip lock bag.

In honor of William B. Solomon

The boys Beta Club at school had a really neat ceremony last night. They did a America Cancer Society Walk. All the Beta Club members donated money to the America Cancer Society in honor of someone they lost to cancer...Then they decorated bags to honor their family and friends. Also we raised money for a little 5 year old named Andy Dunn with cancer. It was a really special occasion. When the candles were lit and lights were off...there was such a sweet spirit. I was so glad the rain didn't stop the walk and they brought it indoors. Lots of people came out to remember those who have passed on that fought the battle of cancer. We celebrated the kids grandpa's life and remembered lots of really neat things about him. Even though the children and I did not get the privilege to know him personally we feel like he is very much a part of our lives. We are so grateful for the legacy he left with our family. I am so glad for eternal families and grateful to know that one day we will all be together again.

Blake's first real paycheck!

Blake recently got a job and was so excited to receive his first paycheck. He is keeping score at a local ballpark for the t-ball games. He loves it...so far!! He said today he is looking forward to working more after soccer season is over.. So does he love the paycheck more than the free pizza and pop he gets for free at the concession? I don't know but I really think it's the junk food he's lovin!

T-Ball against Eli!

Saturday was a huge day. I had a mother's day special with pictures...the boys had a dodgeball tourn. and the girls went to see goats with grandma and their cousins....and then.......caroline played against the all famous ELI!!! This was the whole reason she wanted to play t-ball this year so she could play on eli's team and hang out with one of her best buds. She never thought about the fact that we would play against him. Eli made a home run. His team smoked us, but we were so glad c. didn't hit the ball and run straight to 3rd this week! PROGRESS.

We got lots of John and Fin. time- Just never enough.

Caroline's class at school creates these little books often on different topics. She brings homemade books home just about every week. The children write and illustrate the pages. This one particular book was things that made the kids joyful. Some put their webkinz made them joyful or their toys...I was so touched by caroline's page...her family made her joyful! I wanted to scream YIPEE from the highest mountain! It felt like pay day.

Cousin Thursday

My kids LOVE Thursdays....because Aunt Brandi has class. For the past semester Aunt Brandi has had school on Thursday nights. And my schedule worked this year for me to get to pick up Wesley at preschool and her boys at school. They get to spend the whole entire evening with them. All the kids love it when Uncle Bruce is either late or Aunt Brandi doesn't get out until late. They never get enough time to play because we are running kids to dance, soccer, and T-ball. But we all cross our fingers that their parents won't make it back until we get home to get some play time.

Parker and Leah Beth are practicing their multiplication facts....if they miss they have to do 10 sit ups.

WHEW!!!

This is Freddy Spaghetti. He is for singing time. You pin the arms and legs on as the children learn a new part of the song. Then Freddy gets to eat. As they sing the song you pull the string (spaghetti) through the mouth of the doll. If they sing well the Freddy gets to eat all his spaghetti! I took 10 of these Freddy's to aux. training last night. I am trying to figure out how to put the pattern on my blog. Because it really works well at home too if you are teaching music to your children. So I will work on getting the pattern online and let you know. For now just make a rag doll and sew a button hole on the front and back for the mouth.

I made it through my second aux. stake mtg. I wasn't near as nervous as the first and actually as I have traveled the stake almost to every unit I am becoming friends with these primary units so I think among friends some times it is easier. I have been so crazy trying to grow this magical memories and prepare for this mtg. That I forgot about my blog! So I am excited to try and take some time to catch up on every one's lives. I love the blog thing just simply because it is way to hard to call everyone that I love and care about but this is a great way for me to keep up. I love it too when people share ideas to raise their families etc....which brings me to a new idea I learned last night.

I was talking with MM after the meetings were over. She always inspires me even when she isn't meaning too. This is why we have an incredible stake pres. because he has such a good mama!!! So on to the problem/solution. I was telling her I needed another one of her positive parenting classes. I went on to tell her about my 3rd person...and how she is some times so hard to deal with. I need a daily positive parenting reminder!!! She shared with me how a family she knows-if the children fight-they have to actually sing the words if they are going to fight. I love it.

So I put it to the test. This morning the tornado began. As the storm began to brew-I shared with all my children how if they were going to say mean things or fight with each other they had to sing the words. They loved it. (All but one) But she eventually joined in when she was starting to yell at Andrew-she sang it instead of yelling it. Which in turn made the morning full of laughter. IT IS SO FUNNY TO HEAR SOMEONE SING STOP! So thank you MM for sharing that idea with me. It just what the Dr. ordered!!!

Sweetest prayer!

Tonight as I tucked C into bed and said prayers with her. It was her night to pray....she said please bless me to stay on task and not talk to much at school (she got a minus on her take home folder for talking!) Please please bless my papa. He got really sick yesterday and he needs you to bless him so he won't be in the hospital any more and he won't die cause we need him.

We love our papa and although we tease that he is like a cat with 9 lives...I am so glad he does:)

Soccer Soccer here we come!!!

Blake going in for a goal!!!
Soccer season started for Blake a couple of weeks ago. My little well rounded kid drops one season and on to the next! He amazes me that he can't wait for the next thing! From scouts, football, wrestling, beta club, rocket team, and on to soccer...Blake is on the go all the time! He keeps us hopping!

End of the year Wrestling!!!

This past week-end we celebrated Blake and Andrew's end of the year of wrestling!!! We had some yummy BBQ made by our famous m'boro friend Scott!

Andrew finished out the year with a bang taking forth in the state of Tennessee. Going to state is a huge event in the wrestling world! Poor Blake got the flu the weekend of state so he ended up not getting to go...but he still had a incredible season. It is amazing to see how far these guys have come on the mat since just last year! They have a few weeks off and then they will start summer workouts at the wrestling building. Blake will be entering his last year of middle school wrestling season this summer.

This is our nephew Clayton. He is an amazing wrestler to be so young. He is a natural!

Meet the new Hannah

Andrew says this was an experience he will never forget!

After the campout the guys got home-hungry, wet and tired. It rained all night. They had trouble with fire, mud and staying dry. They called me while they were driving home and said make some food. When Andrew prayed for our food-he mentioned how we were thankful for a great experience at the camp out but hoped next months campout would be a little bit easier!!

Blake's friend Bryce Caten from McMinnville came and camped with them and spent the next day visiting.

Steve, Blake and Andrew went on a boy scout camp out last night in the rain and cold!!! Sounds like fun uh! My twinners, mom and meredith- met up with us last night for some girls night shopping. Lucy and Rachel turned 14 this week. So they came for some party time in the boro!

We had so much fun. I am so glad to share this fun time with them. Leah Beth and Caroline LOVED it!
